A Lesson in Socialnomics - Social Media Blog

Every day, I learn something amazing about this new buzz, the social media blog.  My oldest son laughs..."blogs have been around for a LONG time" he says.  The youth have fully embraced this new media, while my fellow baby boomers are just starting to catch on.

There are now over 200 million blogs in our world!  For those of you in my generation who want to catch up to our kids, click this link for some cool statistics.  I haven't read "Socialnomics" by Erik Qualman yet, but you can get it by clicking on the link.

Some day, our grand kids will ask why we walked uphill in the snow (both ways) to get to school when learning on the Internet is so much better, or why we chopped down so many trees to put our news on paper when a simple tweet is free.  I hope they still remember how to walk or drive so I can savor the old-fashioned face-to-face visit...

Thanks for the mention! I hope you are able to pick up the book as I'd love to know our thoughts.

Happy 4th of July!

Erik, I will definitely read your book and I will be happy to pass along feedback from a newbie blogger's perspective. It really is a fascinating time that we live in. Thanks for taking the time to visit my blog and much success in your future endeavors. Happy 4th of July to you, too.
