Indian Givers

When my mother asked where my wife and I would like to go for a birthday dinner celebration, my wife reminded me of the new menu at the Barona Indian Reservation, our neighbors to the south of us.  Amongst the miles of machines and gaming tables, there are a few hidden gems.

Now that all of you are stretching your groceries dollars (thanks to the treasure box folks), allow me to suggest a way to have dinner for two for under five bucks...First, enter the casino through the main door and make a left turn.  There is a fountain machine for sodas and a variety of fruit juices (I went for the yummy pineapple juice).  If you would prefer bottled water, just ask one of the employees pushing the coffee cart around.  These drinks are FREE.

Next, work your way over to the buffet area.  A little further, you will find the casino's best kept secret, the place that serves $1 burgers, $1 cheeseburgers and $1 french fries to Barona members.  If you don't have a card, there is a place near the entrance that will set you up.

If you and your loved ones are looking for a way to eat out without breaking the bank, hurry on this exceptional deal.  The natives can't keep giving everything away, that is, unless you get sucked in to some of the other temptations in their house.  Danger, Danger, Will Robinson!
