An Update From the Frozen Tundra

In case you're wondering how those "California people" are doing in the frozen tundra otherwise known as Iowa, here's a quick update:

  • Papa polar bear discovered his car is capable of starting when it's -48ยบ with the wind chill.
  • Mama polar bear loves to cuddle under the blankets and read her favorite books during this time of year.
  • The baby polar bears are busy with high school, college and serving customers brave enough to come out in this crazy weather.
  • Daily blogging is more fun when papa bear is sipping hot chocolate and sitting next to the fireplace.
  • There are very few distractions when the roads are shut down.
  • The human spirit is not dependent on the weather and can thrive in any condition.
I'm excited to get some big projects done this year.  There is no time to hibernate and Mama polar bear has a long list of honey-do items for papa polar bear to accomplish before the snow melts.  I will share more about what I'm working on in future posts.  Have a great day and don't forget to feed the penguins.
