Our Mens 40+ team is playing our final regular season match today at noon and the temperatures are expected to reach a high of 54º during our showdown. It's winner take all today. Both teams are evenly matched and our season will most likely come down to a couple of points. Family members are joining us today and we will have home court advantage. All matches are played indoors due to the normally frigid temperatures. The family will be headed downtown to Iowa City to enjoy some fun in the sun after match play. The winner of today's match will advance to a one match playoff against the top team from the other division later in the year. There won't be any opportunities to slow down since the Mens 18+ season begins three weeks from today.
If you were to ask me to write a script about a dream life, this would be what I would write about. Those challenging chapters regarding wildfires, economic downturns, family relocations, tornados and car accidents are the necessary chapters to build character. I'm living the dream life. Today I'm surrounded by family doing what I'm passionate about. The sunny weather is an added bonus. I couldn't ask for a better life. Have a great day.
