Mother Nature heaped nearly a dozen inches of snow on us throughout the night, creating this Winter wonderland in our backyard. I shot this picture before sunrise this morning. There is a stillness in the air. I appreciate moments like these. It's a time of reflection. It's a time of serenity. I'm working on full-time serenity. Sure, it's easy to feel serenity on days like today when the world seems to slow to a crawl. The challenge is to keep serenity in our hearts and minds when chaos arrives unannounced, like a blizzard.
