Merry Christmas ~ 2011

Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them...;'Don't be afraid!' he said. 'I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. The Savior - yes, the Messiah, the Lord - has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!' ~ Matthew 2:10-11

Merry Christmas.  And Happy Birthday, Jesus.  May your day be filled with peace and happiness.  If you are one of those people shouting, "bah-humbug!"  this message is especially for you.  All of us at one time or another have experienced the feeling of being locked out.  Even Mary and Joseph felt this as they frantically searched for a place to stay.  They were locked out of a warm bed.  Our God humbled Himself and became man in a manger built for animals.  No heat, no doctors, not even other family members to offer comfort.  And He did this for one reason... because He loves you.  He unlocked the door to Heaven so you don't have to remain in the cold.

Jesus knows how to take the chill out of a cold heart.  He knows how to comfort us when we are feeling blue.  Today is His birthday.  It's the reason for the season.  He wants to share His birthday with you.  Let Him into your heart.  He will light a fire inside you that will never burn out.

Merry Christmas
