Where is Mulligan's Island? It's anywhere my first cousin, Mark Mulligan, happens to be sharing his happiness with others. Usually, it's south of the border where he deported himself in his early youth. The cool thing about Mulligan's Island is you can visit any time you want from the comfort of your home while watching his world famous show playing every Monday evening.
When God commanded us to "Honor your father and mother," Mark did this in epic Mulligan style by dedicating last Monday's show to his dad. Mark shared inspiring stories, like when his dad took him out of school one day so they could fly to San Diego to watch my favorite football team, the San Diego (now LA) Chargers play. Forget going flying on a commercial jet, that is unless you want to hang out with another fabulous cousin, Molly, who has been serving others for more than three decades. Uncle Tom flew Mark in his very own Cessna. He repeated this act of kindness six more times with each child for the entire home season. David, the youngest in this generation of Mulligans wasn't born yet so he missed out on Dan Fouts and the Air Coryell days.
Make sure you see the show that made me ball my eyes out. If you ever get a chance, make sure you visit Mulligans Island in person. As my dad used to say, "Take your coat off and stay awhile." Have a great day.
