How to Downsize and Be Happy

Got too much stuff?  It may be getting in the way of your happiness.  If you feel you've got too much clutter in your life, try this:
  • Disconnect your TV once a week.
  • Donate any clothes you haven't worn in a year.
  • Cancel your newspaper subscription.
  • Disconnect your home phone.
  • Shut off your cell phone the first two hours you come home from work.
  • Shut off your social media when a live body is in front of you and keep it off.
  • Don't bring any junk food into your home.
  • If you have young children and they are in a bad mood, tell them, "wave good-bye to the grumpies."  Don't let them stop waving until they're all gone.  My kids still remember this exercise.  The grumpies go away really fast when you do this in public.
  • Make a list of all the things that annoy you.  Read the list one time and then shred it.  It's time you got over being annoyed.
  • Find three things in your home somebody you know can benefit from more than you and downsize.
Anything you want to add to the list?  Leave your comment below.  And be happy.
