Your Par for the Course Invitation

If you are one of my teammates at my day job, you will be invited to play "Par for the Course," which is being adapted to help others with health and wellness.  Anyone can play the game.  It's fun.  I've been using it to help me get a grip on my finances.  Here's how it works:

  1. Decide if you want to play solo, with one teammate, or join a foursome.
  2. Pick an area of your life you would like to improve.
  3. Put your name or names on a scorecard and have fun.
  4. Track your score weekly.
  5. Give yourself one point for every week you play the game, even if you come up short with a bogey.  Give yourself two points for every par meaning you achieved your weekly objective.  If you exceed your target, give yourself three points for your eagle.
  6. Challenge your friends to play the game.
  7. Decide on a suitable award you can share for completing the course.
  8. Play as often as you like and for as many months as you choose.
We are setting up a player's board at my day job.  If all goes well, this game will be played virtually across the country.  We are setting up specific golf courses for players who choose weight loss, physical fitness, savings goals, and a new category for social contact.  In the social contact category, players choose activities like participating in weekly Zoom calls, phone calls, or letter writing to friends and family.  All activities are tracked to help inspire consistency.  Players can play as many courses at the same time if they're feeling especially bold.  Let me know if you need any help with this.  I'm designing scorecards with a teammate today and we're sharing this with other interested players across the country.  Have a great day.
