The first Civil War battle west of the Mississippi was fought in Springfield, Missouri. I'm here on a day job assignment and plan to visit today to take a peek into the past at Wilson's Creek National Battlefield. Yes, you read that right. It's Wilson showing up in my life. My inaminate friend Wilson remains in New York City with Erin. I hope he's not in her way as she finalizes her plans for her wedding day next month.
