Recognize the Danger Signs of Stress

Ask yourself how much stress you have on a daily basis.  Compared to last year, is it increasing or decreasing?  If it is increasing, what are you doing to manage your stress levels?

If you're not sure what stress is doing to your mind and body, here are some points to consider.  The idea of today's story is to help you increase your awareness so you can take corrective action before it's too late.  Here's your checklist:

  • Monitor your blood pressure regularly
  • Visit your doctor for an annual exam
  • Visit your dentist every six months
  • Review your food choices
  • Analyze your workout routine
  • Read books that help you stay grounded
  • Keep in touch with your friends, even when you can't meet in person
  • Put fun activities on your calendar
Remember this about stress.  If you don't take proactive action now to reduce it, your brain and body will find a way to shut you down in order to get you off that hamster wheel you're on.  Manage your stress before stress manages you.  Have a great day.
