Slowing Down

The world seems to be going at a frantic pace right now. The stores are crowded with last minute shoppers and many are making travel plans to be with family. It is easy to feel like one of those hamsters that never takes a break from running on that little wheel in the cage.

It is important to slow down and catch our breath. For me, taking a break once a week gives me a chance to recharge and face the world on Monday. This is the last Sunday before Christmas. After spending some quiet time at Church, I plan to relax and watch a football game with my youngest son. Our favorite team is having a good year and they keep us on the edge of our seats.

May you be filled with peace as you make your final preparations for Christmas and slow down just enough to see the beauty that is all around you.
