Why Prayers are Powerful

Imagine you're in a place where there are no cell phones, computers or electronic devices to communicate with others.  You are all alone.  For me, this is the best way to connect with God.  In Psalm 46:10, He says, "Be still and know that I am God."  The Greek translation of Be Still is Hush.  We can't hear God if we're too busy talking.  I'm guilty of this.  Just for today I'm going to concentrate on being still.  Today is a good day to calm down and know who is really in charge.  Electronic devices are not needed.  Prayers are the most powerful communication tools known to man.  Perhaps the ratio of two ears to one mouth reminds us to rely more on listening rather than speaking.  Have a great day.
