The real Christmas story happened far away from all the retail stores and the crowds of last minute holiday shoppers. An angel appeared to a small group of scared shepherds and told them, "fear not, for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." – Luke 2:10
Online shopping may have reduced anxieties for some. Others find stress relief from avoiding the malls this time of year. What about those who are dealing with the loss of a loved one? What about the sick who are fighting cancer and other diseases? Where's their joy? Maybe we all need to listen to that angel. The message is as true today as it was 2,000 years ago. What is there to fear when Jesus is with us? Remember this... the good tidings of great joy shall be for ALL people. This includes you and me. We're on the list. Great joy is ahead. Have a great day.
