Home runs are simple. You swing for the fences and you're done. Too bad life isn't as simple as hitting home runs, especially when you face formidable opponents. Consistent base hits are what win games. Life is a game played on the streets, like the minor leagues were few spectators are cheering you on. It's easy to get complacent. There you are on first base. You feel good about how you got there. It's comfortable but it's not where you belong. Home plate is where the rewards are awaiting for those willing to maximize their talents and push themselves to the limit of their abilities.
If home plate seems impossible from your point of view today, forget about it. Take your foot off first base and take one or two steps forward towards your next short term goal. Focus all your attention on stealing second. When you get the opportunity, run. You can do this. Have a great day.
