30 Nights to Peace – Quieting the Voices, Reclaiming Rest

Star Date: 05.14.2025

Some victories are won in silence.

I’ve just launched into a 30-night sleep experiment—an intentional journey to confront the chatter within me, the competing voices of “inner Michael” that have too often robbed me of rest. There’s the Achiever, the Worrier, the Critic, the Protector…

But lately, the loudest of them all has been Overwhelmed Michael.
He’s been carrying too much, moving too fast, and living with the weight of too many “what ifs.”

Here’s the breakthrough: instead of trying to silence these voices, I’ve started giving them space before bedtime. I sit with them. I listen. I let them speak.

And in doing so, something surprising is happening:
They’re learning to trust me.
They’re trusting that if they’re heard before my head hits the pillow, they don’t need to scream at 2 a.m.

They can rest, too.

“You are enough. You are safe. You can rest.”

That message—spoken over every version of me—is beginning to settle in.

Last night’s sleep reflected that shift.

Last Night’s Report:

  • Total Sleep: 7 hours, 51 minutes

  • REM Sleep: 1 hour, 48 minutes (emotional healing + memory integration)

  • Deep Sleep: 1 hour, 41 minutes (physical restoration)

  • Physical Recovery: 95%

  • Mental Recovery: 91%

  • Restfulness: 91%

This isn’t just data. It’s evidence that healing is happening.

This is a win for every inner voice in my head.

It’s also a win for my faith—because I’m learning that the quieter my soul becomes, the louder I can hear God’s whisper:

“Be still and know that I am God.”

If you’re feeling worn down by sleepless nights or the burden of unspoken thoughts, you’re not alone. I invite you to begin this 30-night journey with me. Let your inner voices speak—then let them rest in the hands of the One who hears everything.

Healing begins in the stillness.
And stillness begins when we know we are loved.

Let’s keep walking this out—night by night—until peace becomes our new normal.

Together, let’s Live Long & Prosper... even while we sleep.  Have a great day.
