Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how healing—especially the kind you can’t see with the eyes—takes longer than we want it to. It’s not instant. It’s not flashy. There’s no magic switch where pain disappears or clarity shows up.
Spiritual healing is slow.
Sometimes it feels like God is silent. Sometimes I wonder if I’m making any progress at all. And yet… Isaiah 40:31keeps speaking to me.
“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength;
they shall mount up with wings as eagles;
they shall run, and not be weary;
and they shall walk, and not faint.”
I used to think this verse was all about soaring—those mountaintop moments where everything makes sense and my spirit feels light. But today, the part that catches me is “they shall walk, and not faint.”
That’s the miracle I’m holding onto.
Not the soaring. Not even the running. Just… walking without fainting.
That’s the kind of strength I need right now. The kind that helps me keep showing up—when I’m tired. When the prayers feel quiet. When I’m still waiting for the pieces to come together.
God doesn’t promise to fast-forward the pain. But He does promise this: if I wait on Him—if I trust Him—He will give me the strength to keep moving forward.
And maybe, for now, that’s enough.
If you're reading this and you’re in your own long healing process, I want to tell you something:
You’re not behind. You’re not broken beyond repair. You're not alone.
You're walking—and that matters.
You're waiting—and He sees you.
You're healing—and He’s holding you.
Let’s keep walking, friend. One day at a time. One prayer at a time. One breath at a time.
And when the time is right, we’ll soar again.
Have a great day.
