My high school memories of eating large plates of spaghetti prior to a tennis match are fading in the rear view mirror for one reason, the carb loads weren't the best food choices. There is a great deal of controversy regarding food choices. All one needs to do to confirm this is to visit a local super market and look at what food marketers are touting as healthy. It's all about low fat. This is where I flipped the script due to some health issues that crept into my life disguised as high blood pressure. Always remember to consult with your primary care doctor when discussing options for your food program.
Be cautious about one thing when you're writing your own script regarding food choices. There are people out there who make their profits from your ill health. This is big business. When you're sick, they can sell you their solutions. Natural solutions diminish their profits. Maybe that's why researchers prefer not to fund studies that could lead to better approaches to eating such as LCHF (low carb high fat) food programs like my own routine.
I'm thankful I discovered professor Tim Noakes during my food research. He was willing to stand up when the food industry attacked him with a personal lawsuit. Rather than settle and disappear, professor Noakes fought back with facts. The science was on his side. Noakes is my hero. Yes, I miss my pasta loads but not too much because these days I don't really get hungry even though I rarely eat more than twice a day. This food script I'm following appears to be working. More fat, less carbs = more energy. Have a great day.
