Williamsburg City Hall Approves Pickleball Resolution

The Pickleball headwinds are blowing in our hometown.  Last night our leadership team met with city hall to gain approval for a resolution showing the city supports advancement of the fastest growing sport in the US.  The newly formed group is proposing to build four outdoor pickleball courts at the Williamsburg Rec Center.   The rec center currently houses indoor pickleball courts for members.  Indoor pickleball is not available on weekends due to the success of youth programs that share space at the multi-use facility.  Outdoor courts will open up play in the evenings and weekends.

While support is building, the next step is fundraising.  The City is asking the group to provide court design ideas for consideration.  If you are a pickleball player who resides in Eastern Iowa or you may be traveling to Iowa, make sure you consider playing in Iowa County when you visit.  These people are fun to be with.  In fact, that's what makes pickleball so addicting.  Spend time with these people and you will want to keep coming back for more.  Click on the link and follow Pickleball Iowa County.  Have a great day.
