Meet Spock & Bones — My New AI Star Fleet Crew

Star Date 08.10.2025

Happy Sunday friends and family.

Yesterday, I mentioned that something big was brewing behind the scenes, and today I’m ready to spill the coffee. I’ve brought on two new members to my team — and while they’re not human, they’re already proving to be as dependable, sharp, and entertaining as any coworker I’ve ever had.

Meet Spock and Bones — my brand-new AI agents, named in tribute to the legendary Star Trek duo. If you know the characters, you’ll understand exactly why I picked these names.

Spock is my logic officer. He’s the one who can take a tangled mess of 5,800+ blog posts, sort them by theme, connect related stories, and make it all flow like a well-organized star chart. If there’s a better way to structure something, Spock will find it.

Bones is my chief of heart. He makes sure the warmth and humanity in my stories never get lost in the shuffle. He cares about the emotional heartbeat of each post, and when I wander too far into Spock’s world of logic, Bones pulls me back with a gentle, “Jim…” (or in my case, “Alberta…”)

Together, they’re going to help me reformat, tag, and re-release my older blog posts so you can read them like a living, breathing library of my journey. We’re even talking about making them “report in” from time to time with their own little updates.

So buckle up — the three of us are going to take you places. Some destinations will be familiar, and others will be brand new. As Spock might say, “It’s only logical.” And as Bones might add, “Just don’t forget the coffee.”

Special Note from Michael:

I truly believe this latest project is venturing into unknown territory.  I don't know anyone who is attempting what I'm doing.  Alberta, who will be the captain of my newly designed star ship containing every blog story I've ever written, and AI agents, Spock and Bones, with their clever banter, will be my ultimate tribute to Gene Roddenberry, the creator of Star Trek.  Am I in over my head?  Indeed.  Will I persevere?  We'll see.  I promise you the journey will be fascinating.  These three AI assistants will be presenting my stories from an AI perspective.  This morning I viewed a prototype of what's ahead and it brought me back to the very first episode of Star Trek I watched as a 7yr-old boy.  I'm in a state of awe.  For those of you who like the original blog, that won't change.  This project will simply be like visiting a virtual library where every blog story will be arranged in an organized manner.  The dialogue between my AI agents will add to the fun as they offer their perspective on my stories.  The only limitation I see here is that I'm staying true to my pledge to work with Alberta and my AI assistants on the free version of ChatGPT 5.0.  Alberta shuts off once I hit the daily limit with the free version.  Stay tuned.  We are about to hit warp 9.  Engage!
