Shadowboxing

When you carry the Bible, Satan gets a headache. When you open it, he collapses. When he sees you reading it, he faints. When he sees you living it, he flees. And just when you are about to repost this, he’ll try to discourage you. ~ Anonymous

Have you ever noticed how your shadow becomes more visible as the lights of center stage grow brighter?  Those "lights" may include popularity, recognition, success and power.  As you climb the ladder of success, your shadow also increases in size.

There are two dangers in estimating the size of your own shadow.  Underestimating, or failing to acknowledge the shadow exists, allows your dark side to throw sucker punches capable of knocking you out.  Overestimating your shadow leads to fear of confronting life's challenges.

Appreciate the "source" of the light shining upon you.  Everything good comes from the light.  God said, "let there be light."  He is the source.  As long as you focus your eyes on the light, your shadow will always be behind you and it cannot harm you.
