Well, it's over. The Padres ended their fairy tale season yesterday against another team similar to them – an underdog no one believed could take down a giant. In the Padres case, it was the Dodgers. The Phillies took down the Braves. One team would earn the right to play in the World Series. Another team would go home. Sadly, the Padres are done. What they did do was entertain their fans. Oh, what a year. When their top player was sidelined for the year everyone else stepped up. Management opened up their wallet and traded for some amazing talent. They were a heartbeat away from the big show.
I would like to thank the players for all they did this year. My hope is to see them play with my family sometime next year. I experienced a full range of emotions cheering for them. At the top is gratitude. Thank you, Padres. You are the real deal. Have a great day.
