Aristotle said this about criticism, "To avoid criticism, say nothing, do nothing and be nothing." I suppose that works really well if avoiding criticism is what makes you tick. Aristotle was bright. I'm sure he had his critics. If I could add one thing to his quote, it would be this: Become deaf to the critic.
Think about the critic for a moment. Why is this person bothering to critique everything you do? Maybe the critic feels like he or she is guilty about his or her life. Criticism shifts the attention from the critic to the people who are willing to say something, do something and be someone. This is bold. You become a target. Be the target. Welcome the arrows.
