A Recipe for Your Heart

 If you had to limit yourself to three ingredients to make your heart healthier, I have an idea for you.  Consider it a recipe for optimized health and wellness.  Here goes:

    1. Live well.  This is your first ingredient.  This includes avoidance of any foods with high levels of pesticides, refraining from unnatural additives while concentrating on the consumption of foods raised naturally.  Living well begins with sleeping well.  Go to bed early and wake up refreshed and energized.  
    2. Love yourself and love others.  Life is too short for you to be critical of your flaws.  Stop judging what everyone else is doing.  The more you love the easier it is to forgive those who hurt you.  
    3. Play pickleball until you die.  This sport sprung up out of nowhere in the midst of a world-wide pandemic.  Churches closed.  Casinos shut down.  Participation sports were forbidden.  The elderly were shut in.  When the world was in its darkest moments, pickleball peeps found a way to socialize.  The next time the world faces a new crisis, you will find me on the pickleball court with my loved ones.
