The best way I know to prevent a vacation hangover is to avoid credit card spending. I'm a big believer in the cash envelope method. The cash goes in the envelope before the vacation begins. I plan to use this idea for all future travels. It works best if you give yourself enough time to set aside funds, a little bit at a time. If a credit card is required, make sure to mark the purchase on the outside of the envelope so the cash is there when the statement arrives. Whoala! No hangover! Have a great day.
