What are you doing at 3pm today? Barbecue? Family time? Day off? I have a suggestion for you. How about at 3pm today you pause for a moment of reflection and remembrance? Consider why you get to do all the things this Holiday brings. There was an ultimate sacrifice paid for your benefit and your family's benefit. I can't even imagine losing a family member during their service to our country. There are generations of family members in my ancestry who served our country with great courage. As far as I know, all of them served their full terms before moving on to full lives outside of the military. For those who died while serving, this day is for you.
Set your alarms for 3pm. Pause. Reflect. Pray for the families who are struggling with the loss of a loved one who died for you to have days like today. Happy Memorial Day. Have a great day.
