It was a big day yesterday in Evansville, Indiana. It reminds me about what people were saying when Jesus showed up for the first time working his miracles in public.
"Can anything good come from Nazareth?" Thats what all the locals were asking with puzzled looks on their faces. For those of you who don't know the story, Nazareth is this tiny hole in the wall place where this unknown son of a carpenter started his ministry. He healed the sick, cast out demons and raised people from the dead. The problem with those who knew his upbringing was they couldn't believe his story. They couldn't believe the Son of the Most High God could be from this lowly place.
Evansville, Indiana is such an unlikely place to see an earth shattering world record at my day job. That's okay. I believe in miracles. This is all Jesus. I'm just the one recording all the good Jesus is doing in my life, one day at a time, one chapter at a time and one new friend at a time. Another domino has fallen. We just reached 1,000 new family members. We have big goals and everyone on the team is a believer. Can anything good come from Evansville?
