They are not of this world even as I am not from it ~ John 17:16
I've been spending a great deal of time trying to figure out why my cousin's food experiment worked so well for me and my friends. Maybe the best way to look at it is to retrace our ancestry all the way back to our days in the Garden of Eden. Everything was pure. The soil was rich and fertile. God's instructions were simple, "have anything you want, but please stay away from one certain food." Then, we messed up and ate what was forbidden. No more garden. No more Heaven on earth. Our waters are polluted. Our soil is depleted of nutrients. Our foods are man-made and our bodies have no clue what to do with all the processed foods we're consuming.
I'm sticking with the foods that are not of this world. For me, the "apple tree" represents man-made foods pumped up with antibiotics, growth hormones, artificial ingredients and genetically engineered products that our bodies can't digest properly. The food industry may tempt me and say, "go ahead, give it a try, it's safe." Sorry, I'm choosing not to go along with this crazy scheme. As for me and my caveman friends, we are not of this world. Have a great day.
