Have you ever had a nagging debt that just wouldn't go away no matter how hard you tried to pay it off? That's how it was for every generation since our fall from grace in the Garden of Eden. Sin is one of those debts that takes an act of God to eliminate. And Jesus did that with his last breath when he uttered the words, "it is finished." meaning the debt of sin is paid in full. That's epic. There is no greater climax to the story than what happened on the Cross. We're free.
The follow-up question is "what are you going to do with your life now that all your sins are forgiven?" If you're having trouble coming up with an answer, here are some ideas: Be thankful. Show gratitude. Share the Good News. Refrain from activities that may get you in trouble again. Have a great day.
