The First Treasure Box

As soon as I publish today's message, I am off to pick up my first treasure box for our family and another one for someone close to us that is about to be surprised. This treasure box is made possible because so many people have volunteered to help get the food distributed. This happens year round and every month the menu changes.

This is the last weekend before Christmas and I am thankful that there are others out there who are donating time so that families can save money on their groceries because of this great program.

St. Francis of Assisi was the one who said, "Preach the gospel at all times and when necessary use words." This special group of people is a great example of using actions to spread the Good News.

There are no restrictions on this program. Anyone who wants to save money on groceries can participate. This is how Jesus works. He knocks on everybody's door, but only a few open it up and let Him in.

If you are interested in getting a treasure box for your family or someone you know that could benefit, the website is www.thetreasurebox.org. Have a great weekend.
